Toyota Overcomes Adversity - Remains #1 Auto Brand 2011

According to the Interbrand Best Global Brands 2011 Report, "Even though Toyota faced both an internal and an external crisis, the company forged ahead by focusing on safety and quality, modifying its leadership structure and capitalizing on its world-renown green efforts."1 And, here at Magnussen's Toyota of Palo Alto, we think that says everything about why Toyota is a stand-out brand.

The annual report showcases the top brands in major industries. This year, Toyota gained six performance points and landed on the report in the number one spot for an automotive brand (number 11 on an overall list of about 50 companies). The Japanese automaker earned their points in 2011 due to overcoming prior quality issues while simultaneously dealing with the challenges of the earthquake and tsunami in Japan.

Even more impressive than landing on this highly competitive list, Toyota took the number one spot in Interbrand's Best Global Green Brands 2011, thanks to their overwhelming effort to make a difference in the environment. The Japanese automaker had to score well in three categories for Interbrand to put them that high on the list: financial performance; the role of the brand in purchase decisions; and the ability to bring in earnings for the company.

If you already drive a Toyota, you  know why the automaker placed so high on both lists. If you don't, Magnussen's Toyota of Palo Alto encourages you to come see us at 690 San Antonio Road Palo Alto, CA to learn more about pricing, specs, trim levels, or even test drive one of the many eco-friendly new Toyota vehicles in our showroom.
