The 2012 Toyota Yaris, Now Available at Magnussen's Toyota of Palo Alto

With constantly climbing fuel prices, automakers are faced with the challenge of creating the most fuel-efficient vehicles possible, without compromising on all the things we've come to love about our cars. And while we can't all afford hybrids or alternative-fuel vehicles, there's a segment of cars that continues to impress critics and drivers with its styling and fuel-efficiency. That's right, those zippy little subcompacts are winning everybody over.

And Toyota really knows what they're doing when it comes to subcompacts, as evidenced by the 2012 Toyota Yaris. That's because the Japanese automaker knows that a small car doesn't have to be a minimalistic car. So for 2012, they've completely redesigned the Yaris, giving it a more grown-up look and feel, as well as adding a slew of new features and a bump in fuel economy. Toyota is even going so far as to say they've added over $1,000 in new features to the Yaris, without changing the price.

It's still the same 1.5-liter engine that's powered the Yaris since it first debuted in 2007, the fuel-efficiency got a decent lift to 33 mpg. Meanwhile, Toyota also managed to add more front and rear cargo space to the Yaris, with comfortable and roomy seats for everybody.
