2020 Toyota Supra GR new design cues and performance features

There are few other models in the Toyota family as expressive as the Supra, which offers a head-turning body and hair-raising performance all in the same package. Though its base model is iconic in its own right, if you need even more punch from this new sports supercar, we’d like to introduce you to the new Supra GR, slated to be released later on in 2019. Our Toyota Palo Alto team has been given a first look at the 2020 Toyota Supra GR new design cues and performance features, so join us and check it out!

Exterior body features of the 2020 Toyota Supra GR

We weren’t exaggerating when we called the 2020 Supra GR a head-turner; your first impression is sure to be one of awe thanks to its jewel-like LED headlights, wide grille, and what Toyota calls its “double-bubble” roof, intended to reduce drag. Add this to a low stance that breeds athleticism, and you can see why the Supra GR is bound to be so coveted.

2020 Toyota Supra GR engine performance and top speed

Pure performance and precision are the names of the game for the 2020 Supra GR, as it offers a 3.0-liter twin-scroll turbo straight-six engine inside. Pressing the gas will unleash 335 horsepower and 365 pound-feet of torque, and its perfectly-balanced 50:50 weight distribution allows you to have a better, smoother handle over the pavement than any other models that dare to compete with it.

The fitting cherry on top of the 2020 Supra GR is its red-line speed, which is a whole other animal in and of itself. You can race from 0 to 60 miles per hour in only 4.1 seconds, and achieve a top speed of 155 miles per hour! Of course, here in the Bay Area you won’t ever have to worry about going faster than, like, 50, but it’s at your fingertips all the same.
