2020 Toyota Tacoma engine options and maximum haul ratings
Toyota’s line of pickups is one that is often lost in the crowd, as its sedans and SUVs usually perform better when it comes to overall sales figures. But make no mistake; a Toyota truck is one of the best investments you could make, with stellar performance, muscular and chiseled vibes, and a willingness to complete the task at hand no matter what it requires.
In the mid-size truck market, the Toyota Tacoma is a true leader, and it returns for the upcoming model year stronger than ever. To see what we mean, check out the 2020 Toyota Tacoma engine options and maximum haul ratings with Toyota Palo Alto!
Engine options and performance features for the 2020 Toyota Tacoma
As in previous years, the 2020 Tacoma will come with two rough-and-tumble engine options, attached to power-trains that are nothing short of excellent. Your first choice is a 2.7-liter DOHC four-cylinder motor, capable of cranking out up to 159 horsepower and 180 pound-feet of torque. For more juice, check out its 3.5-liter V6, complete with 278 ponies and 265 pound-feet of torque!
Each Tacoma engine is paired to a smooth-shifting Electronically Controlled Automatic Transmission with intelligence, as well a Hill Start Assist Control, Crawl Control, and Multi-terrain Select. This means that no matter what stretch of earth you’re planning to conquer, the Tacoma is able to help.

Finally, if you opt for the Tacoma’s V6 trim, you’ll be in line for its Tow Package, which features a receiver hitch, coolers for transmission fluid, engine oil and power steering fluid, and Trailer-Sway Control. It all adds up to a maximum towing capacity of 6,800 pounds, more than enough to accommodate your haul!
