Our team here at Magnussen’s Toyota of Palo Alto is putting together a list of events and activities for everyone in the area to take advantage of this year. Chili Cook-off & Summer Festival
Mitchell Park – Palo Alto
Join in on the 36th Annual 4th of July Chili Cook-off and Summer Festival right here in Palo Alto at Mitchell Park from noon to 5 p.m. Those looking to participate in the competition are encouraged to sign up now! With over $2,000 worth of rewards for the winners, you won’t want to miss it. There will be awards for various categories including Best Overall Chili Winners.
Fourth of July Parade & Celebration
Burgess Park – Menlo Park
Head north to Menlo Park for the city’s annual Fourth of July Celebration. The parade starts at 11:45 a.m. at the Well Fargo parking lot on Santa Cruz Avenue and Chestnut Street. The celebration follows in Burgess Park with lots of activities for kids including an inflatable jump house, crafts and a rock wall. There will also be live music and food trucks to enjoy. This event is free, but there is a $7 wristband required for some of the activities.
4th of July Fireworks Spectacular
Shoreline Amphitheatre – Mountain View
Tickets are available for this event and can be purchased at the Shoreline Amphitheatre Box Office Monday through Friday from noon to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Doors for the event will open at 5 p.m., and there will be activities and games for the whole family to enjoy. The event will feature the San Francisco Symphony, and the fireworks will start at dusk.
