Three Independence Day events and activities in Palo Alto and Los Altos
It’s just about time to celebrate our country’s independence. Below, you can find one celebration happening in Palo Alto, another in Los Altos, and the third happening at California’s Great America. Wherever you choose to go, we hope you have a wonderful holiday. We’d love to see you here at Toyota Palo Alto for a test drive or oil change before the holiday.
If you want to celebrate close to home, the city of Palo Alto will be hosting its very own July 4th celebration from 11 AM to 3 PM. There will be live music, games for children, and food trucks. The event itself is free, and everyone is encouraged to bring their own chairs, water, and snacks. This is a great event if you want something to do during the day, and don’t necessarily care to be out late.
Another daytime event is the Los Altos Hills 4th of July parade. This event starts at 10 AM, though everyone is encouraged to arrive thirty minutes early to gather and get a good spot for viewing. The parade starts at the Town Hall and ends at Gardner Bullis School. At the end of the parade, you can gather at the school for beverages and watermelon.
Our last event is taking place at California’s Great America. While you can arrive early in the day for roller coasters, water fun, and a grilling event, the big event is the fireworks show taking place at 9:45 PM. So, plan to be out late if you’re heading to the park. The fireworks can be enjoyed from the midway plaza or the Redwood Amphitheater.
