Oil type recommendation for the 2019 Toyota Corolla

As it relates to fuel efficiency, durability and versatility, the Toyota Corolla is a real and true class leader. However, it’s only able to perform at its best when you have the right kind of oil inside – that’s why our Toyota Palo Alto team wants to show you our oil type recommendation for the 2019 Toyota Corolla. Knowing this, you’ll be able to see where you should be at all times!

2019 Toyota Corolla optimal oil type and filter capacity

To ensure that your Corolla is running smoothly, we recommend that you use Toyota Genuine Motor Oil with a grade of ILSAC GF-5, and a viscosity of SAE 0W-20. This oil is guaranteed to perform between temperatures of -20 degrees and 100 degrees Fahrenheit. Temperatures generally don’t vary that extremely here in the Bay Area, but this range is a great help for keeping your engine running in more varied climates.

We should also mention that if you’re planning on changing your oil yourself, the Corolla’s lubrication system can handle a maximum oil capacity of 4.4 quarts with a filter, or 4.1 quarts without a filter. Be sure to refer to your owner’s manual if you’re looking for any further information.
