Test drive the 2017 Toyota Yaris iA in Palo Alto, CA

As we can see from the chart above, the 2017 Toyota Yaris iA and the 2017 Ford Fiesta S Hatchback have quite a bit in common. Both are set with similar-sized engines, and each of them come standard with a manual transmission. However, the Yaris iA does offer an optional automatic transmission, which is not available on the base of the Fiesta Hatchback. Overall, the Yaris iA came out on top with a better fuel economy and more room for backseat passengers.

When it comes to safety, there are quite a few features drivers can count on both vehicles for having. These include anti-theft protection, child safety door locks, electronic traction control, low tire pressure indicators and stability control. The Yaris iA stands out from the Fiesta Hatchback with a standard brake assist system, which is not available on the other model.

We’re going to dive into some of the comfort and convenience features found on both of these vehicles. Drivers who choose either one of these models can look forward to the following features: keyless entry, MP3 player, power mirrors and locks, a rear split folding bench seat, steering wheel mounted controls and voice activated controls. There are quite a few standard features that set the Yaris iA apart from the Fiesta S Hatchback. The Yaris iA comes set with power windows, a backup camera, an outside temperature gauge and cruise control. None of these are available on the base of the Fiesta Hatchback.
