The 2023 Toyota Camry has eight gas trim levels. Below, you can compare each of the eight trim levels in terms of fuel efficiency and key features, three categories that are important to buyers. If you have any other questions about the trim levels, feel free to stop by Magnussen’s Toyota in Palo Alto, CA.
Between the eight trim levels, there are four possible fuel economy ratings. While the overall range is not huge, sometimes a little difference can go a long way in helping you choose your next trim level.
Fuel efficiency | Trim level(s) |
28 mpg in the city and 39 mpg on the highway | LE, SE, and SE Nightshade |
27 mpg in the city and 38 mpg on the highway | XLE and XSE |
22 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway | TRD and XLE V6 |
22 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway | XSE V6 |
Every trim level features unique upgrades from the base model, the LE. For the SE and SE Nightshade models, this means upgraded style features such as unique wheels, grilles, and other features. The other trim levels also feature unique looks as well as other upgrades, such as a better audio system in the XLE, a sport-tuned suspension in the XSE, additional performance features on the TRD, and premium features on both the XLE V6 and the XSE V6. Of course, there are also various engine options that differ by trim level.
